A canvas is the beginning if you like, it’s your ‘blank canvas’ but it can’t stay blank forever and throwing paint on it straight away might not lead you where you want to go. Instead we can start to lay the foundations of our painting and our ideas with simple lines that define where we’re going to go and what we intend to do.
