Acrylic Painting with a Single Colour – Part 2
In this part of the painting process, Tim picks red as the main color, inspired by the warm tones of rooftops. Using a disposable palette, he mixes up a wash of red and white to start building some depth. He’s big on keeping brushes clean and letting layers dry before jumping in with changes.
Shadows get added to bring out the form, and a mix of brush techniques helps keep the edges loose and interesting. As the painting evolves, Tim focuses on defining shapes and angles, mixing colors on the fly, and simplifying the scene to make it visually striking without overcomplicating things.
