Layering Paint
Layering Paint.
This technique is applicable across most mediums and forms of art (unless you’re not using paint) but it’s particularly pertinent to how we work with watercolours. By their very nature watercolours are a thinned out pigment and those thin films of liquid mean that layering is an essential technique.
In a watercolour painting we can create new colours by simply adding one thin layer on top of another, we can create depth and resonance in our art by building those layers in a specific way. Tim is here to help you understand and learn this process and building your confidence to create!
