Pro Lab Printing
Why Use a Pro lab for printing your favorite photography is a question frequently asked. In this quick photo documentary Karl visits a professional photo lab where John at FitzLab answers questions on this topic and gives you the inside look at some printing results and discuss the following:
Why use a pro-lab over a small ink jet printer?
What professional papers are used and why?
How big can you print your images?
How do colors compare between printer types?
How long do prints last under normal lighting conditions?
How should you convert your photos for a pro lab – what’s best?

or if you suggest any specific printer that I can invest into. I am even ready to consider it as not every lab or printing house might understand the quality standard that is required. I am open to even to look for suitable printer to invest for myself.
Hello Karl,
I want to print my photography in a form a booklet and keep it for my reference. Just want to have that larger than life feeling rather than just merely sticking to digital side of it.
If I wish to print in atleast A3 Booklet or little smaller, do you recommend a minimum size and what sort of printing do you recommend and the paper quality. If you can recommend few options, I can explore at my end and see what is available.
Thank you. Bhanu.
Hi, for A3 the actual resolution is about 5000 x 3500 pixels, so no problem for most cameras. There are lots of choices for printing, I suggest you watch these classes:
