Using White Gouache with Watercolour
Using White Gouache with Watercolour.
White Gouache is a flat white paint and opaque paint that can be used with watercolours. Generally speaking areas of white in a watercolour painting are often simply areas of base paper shining through to the surface of our painting. However in many situations the white isn’t white enough to bring the dynamic range that the artist required. Step in White Gouache, this opaque paint can then be used selectively to add that dynamic range and reflectivity to the art helping create brighter highlights and more lively areas of reflected light.
