Our Company
Visual Exposure Limited (trading as Visual Education; formerly Karl Taylor Education) has provided the very best photography and visual arts training for over 15 years. It was established by professional photographer Karl Taylor and is run by Karl and a small, dedicated and passionate team. Our Terms and Conditions
Membership
Members of Visual Education are entitled to access to all of our courses, live shows, competitions, briefs, challenges and member discounts for the duration of their membership. To use the service you must provide us with a current, valid and accepted method of payment. If a payment is not completed in any given month, you will lose your access to the platform.
Monthly Plan
Monthly Plan subscriptions are charged monthly in USD ($) or GBP (£). Membership will continue on a month-to-month basis. Renewal is automatic. By purchasing a Monthly subscription, you authorize us to automatically charge your next membership fee to the payment method linked to your account unless you cancel your membership before your monthly billing date.
Six-Month Plan
Six-Month Plan subscriptions are purchased via a single, one-time payment that grants access to Visual Education for a period of six months commencing on the day of purchase.
Annual Plan
Annual subscriptions will be charged on a yearly basis, with the first payment being taken on the day of initial purchase. Membership will automatically renew unless you have cancelled your membership before the cessation of your current annual plan.
We provide notice of renewal given in the form of an e-mail 30 days before your current annual membership expires. Please note that sometimes emails go to spam folders.
By purchasing an annual subscription, you authorize us to automatically charge your next membership fee to the payment method linked to your account unless you cancel your membership before your next billing date.
Our annual plan is often significantly discounted compared to our monthly plans so that you save money for committing to a one year period with our platform. The price shown on our sign up or payment page may compare these savings to our monthly plans but they will always indicate the full annual plan cost.
Two-Year Plan
Two-Year subscriptions will be charged on a two yearly basis, with the first payment being taken on the day of initial purchase. Membership will automatically renew unless you have cancelled your membership before the cessation of your current two year plan.

Lifetime Plan
Lifetime Plan subscriptions are purchased via a single, one-time payment that grants lifetime access* to Visual Education along with the opportunity for a professional portfolio review.
When lifetime members feel ready, they can submit a portfolio of up to 10 images for review. Karl assesses these images personally, rating the skill and competence displayed in each before scoring the portfolio as a whole.
Members who display a sufficiently high level of understanding and photographic skill will receive a printed Visual Education certificate. Those who score between 50-64% will be awarded a ‘Pass’, 65-79% a ‘Merit’ and 80% and above a ‘Distinction’. Members who score below 50% will have the option to re-submit their portfolio but an additional fee will may be charged for a second portfolio review as these are time intensive. *Valid for the lifetime duration of visualeduation.com online training. Should the Visual Education platform cease to exist then our lifetime plans will also cease and there will be no further access to the content.
Customer Support
Visual Education provides full customer training support in relation to any of the classes on our platform. Should you have any questions related to the training content just leave your question in the comments section below the relevant training video and we will do our best to answer this within 48 hours (usually 24 hours).
Any customer support questions must be related to the training provided and we recommend that you watch the video training in full before raising your questions. Please note that many classes form a series of learning and often the question you wished to raise will likely be answered in the next class in the sequence. We are unable to answer questions that are unrelated to the training provided.
If your support question is related to billing, emails or other administration related questions then please use the ‘help chat’ window in the lower right hand corner of our website.
Multi-user license program
If you are a business, non-profit or educational institution interested in securing access for multiple users, we offer affordable solutions. Please visit our Multi-User Licensing page for more information.
Membership upgrades
Users are able to upgrade their membership by visiting the ‘My Account’ section at the top of the website. On selecting a new plan any credit from your current plan will be automatically calculated and offset against the price of the new plan. By upgrading your account you authorize us to automatically charge the difference to your account.
Once you have upgraded your membership your new subscription will be linked to your account and any future renewal payments will automatically be charged to the payment method linked to your account unless you cancel your membership before your next billing date.
Inappropriate comments and communications
Visual Education reserves the right to block and/or withhold approval from member comments and communications that we deem abusive, aggressive or otherwise inappropriate. Members who comment or communicate in this manner will receive a formal warning requesting that they refrain from doing so. Failure to heed this formal warning may result in termination of membership with immediate effect. Under such circumstances, no refunds will be issued.
Redistribution of content
You are NOT entitled to download, copy, distribute or share any of the membership content or the content of the Visual Education website. Your agreement with us is for streaming access only. To view videos and live shows you will need an adequate Internet connection.
Access to the education content, live shows, courses, competitions, members’ discounts and prizes is strictly limited to members only.
Should any user be found to be redistributing or repurposing our content then we reserve the right to terminate the account with immediate effect and further copyright infringement action may be taken.
Changes to Terms
Visual Education may change these terms from time to time and we reserve the right to adjust our membership fees. Should this affect you in any way, this will be communicated to you in advance before the next monthly renewal.
Pausing a subscription
When you pause your subscription, you continue to enjoy access to Visual Education until the end of your billing cycle, at which point the pause takes effect. When the pause ends, your subscription becomes active again.
You are free to resume your subscription at any point during your pause period. You will be billed automatically on the day you resume, and that will be your new billing date going forward.
Cancelling a subscription
Subscription fee payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for any partially used periods (except for account upgrades). We will continue to bill your payment method until you cancel. Following the cancellation of any subscription, you will continue to have access to the service through to the end of your subscription term.
You may cancel your Visual Education membership at any time. To cancel your subscription, visit the ‘My Account’ section at the top of the website under your user profile image then click ‘cancel my subscription’ and follow the instructions to continue with your cancellation.
You will receive confirmation of your cancellation via e-mail. Should you not receive this e-mail please check your spam folder. If your cancellation was unsuccessful, you may have not clicked the correct button and payment may continue to be taken, please ensure that you have received the cancellation email.
The cancellation process is very simple and easy to follow and requires just a few steps and a small questionnaire. Our system logs every cancellation or attempted cancellation automatically, we can not be held responsible if members forget to cancel their accounts.

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the Visual Education Referral Program
- You must use your unique referral link to refer friends and colleagues to Visual Education in order to be eligible for the reward.
- Your friends and colleagues must sign up using your referral link (this is how we track referrals back to you, for you to earn money).
- Your friends or colleagues who have been referred will receive a discount code for membership at Visual Education when they register for a paid plan.
- As the referrer, you will receive a $30 payment via PayPal for each new customer you have referred who has registered and been a paying member for 90 days.
- Referral accounts that are cancelled by Visual Education for any reason (non-compliance with Visual Education’s Terms and Conditions) will not be included in the Referral Program.
- Visual Education reserves the right to terminate a user’s involvement in the Referral Program if Visual Education suspects that there is some abuse of the Referral Program.
- Visual Education may amend these terms and conditions from time to time and revised terms and conditions shall become effective immediately upon publishing.
- Visual Education reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Referral Program at any time.
- You agree to comply with any applicable laws and the Visual Education Terms and Conditions.
- This Referral Program is void where prohibited by law.
