Lens Filters
Along with a variety of lenses, spare batteries, and lens cleaning cloths, most photographers will also have a selection of filters in their camera bag.
But what do lens filters do? Which lens filters are essential? And what is the difference between circular and linear polarizers?
In this video, Karl answers all of these questions. He also addresses when and why you might need filters and how they can help you get more creative with your photography.

What is the best quality variable ND filter (88mm) in the market today… price is not importatn… I just want to get one and do not want to buy twice. I know about cons of variable ND filters (stack of two polarization filters makes troubles at specific position… I need it motstly for filming…for photography I would use normal ND filters. Thank you very much. Have a nice day. Rok from Slovenia
I am looking this one Schneider 82mm TRUE-MATCH VARI-ND® MKII
Hi Rok, I’m afraid I can’t recommend variable ND filters as I don’t use them for the reasons you mention. All of my ND filters are individual ones, mostly 2 or 3 stops.
