‘Shadows’ Competition Winners
Wow! We always we receive a ton of amazing entries for our competitions, but you took it to a new level with ‘Shadows’.
There were many strong contenders to choose from, and selecting a winner was by no means simple. After much debate, we settled on our three prizewinners, plus three honourable mentions.

Winner Mariusz Cieszewski will receive a Manfrotto Pro Light Reloader Switch Carry-On Camera Roller Bag.
Runner-up Grzegorz Mentrak will receive a Manfrotto Triflector MKII Frame + Sunfire/Silver Panels.
Coming in third, Julian Renner will receive a Manfrotto Black Aluminium Lo Mini Pro Stand.
1st Prize
Mariusz Cieszewski
With its striking use of light and dark, its compelling lines and angles, and its artful composition, Mariusz’s shot puts the ‘Shadows’ theme to work brilliantly. A terrific piece of street photography and a worthy winner.
2nd Prize
Grzegorz Mentrak
In Grzegorz’s image, the sharpness of the watch’s inner workings is exquisite, as are the intriguing shadows they cast. Our eye is drawn to explore the fine details, and then to the corresponding shadows, as the image holds and rewards our close attention.
3rd Prize
Julian Renner
There’s a lot to admire in Julian’s shot. At first glance, we notice the colourful dress and the way it spills down the staircase onto the floor. But it’s the shadows that really pull us in, from the upper stairwell to the lines of the railings and on to the remarkable shadow cast by the model herself.
Highly Commended
These images didn't quite make it into our top three, but certainly deserve an honourable mention.
