Photography Challenge - Week 31
29 July - 4 August
Are you looking for some photography ideas to test your skills and get your creativity flowing? We’ve got 52 weeks of photography challenges to help inspire you. You can view the full list of challenges here.
This week's challenge is...
Packshots
Packshots are a quick way to make money as a photographer, so knowing how to shoot good packshots is a great skill for any photographer to have.
This week we’re giving you the opportunity to test your skills when it comes to shooting packshots. Can you work quickly and efficiently? Can you create pure white backgrounds? Can you get a well-lit product?
These types of shots don’t require much equipment or space, so they are a great way to test your skills or try something new. The classes below offer further information and inspiration to help you with this week’s challenge.

I have a question.
Is there a winner at the end every challenge or it’s just a submittal only ?
Hi Mauro, we don’t select a winner for Weekly Challenges – they’re just for fun! We do however feature one entry each Wednesday in our email newsletter 🙂
Hi Mauro, there are only winners and commended in our actual competitions which you can find a link to from the main menu. The challenges are just for people to take part and practice.
Hi Karl, how would you shoot pack shots for jewellery? Thanks, Luke
Hi Luke, jewellery is to difficult to be considered a pack shot unless you’re willing to accept mediocre results. This is the quickest way I’ve found to light them effectively – https://visualeducation.com/class/jewellery-photography-rings/
Thanks for your help Karl.. love the site!
My honey Jars didn’t make the grade?
